The Son of Mary Was Not Crucified

Yes, just as we all have a soul/spirit..
Jesus said- “Father into your hands I commit my spirit” (Luke 23:46)
Jesus said-“The spirit within gives life, the flesh alone is worthless” (John 6:63)

PS- the last verse lends weight to those (including me) who are in favour of ‘assisted dying’, because if somebody’s soul is trapped in a pain-wracked worthless body, their soul should be freed to allow it to fly..

While we should be in a constant state of continual improvement, being “born again” from above (from God) is not a self-assessed or self-professed term.

It is defined in Scripture in the following manner:

1 John 3:4-11
3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also The Law: for sin is the transgression of The Law.
3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our (past) sins; and in him is no sin.
3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he (Christ) is righteous.
3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the Beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever DOETH NOT righteousness is NOT of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
3:11 For this is the message that ye heard from the Beginning (Alpha), that we should love one another.

This is why Christ placed so much emphasis on keeping The Law that Father (God) gave us. It’s the only way to repent (stop sinning). It’s the only way to get to know Father and Christ.

Everybody interprets Jesus’s words their own way, for example he said ‘give to all who ask you’ but does that mean we should give money to scrounging beggars?

Are you suggesting that The Word of God is somehow ambiguous about our need to keep God’s Law?

And why do you ask about whether we should be willing to help the less fortunate who ask for our help? Aren’t you yourself a recipient of welfare/benefits/the dole, i.e. an able-bodied human+Being who has spent decades living at the expense of others?

You can give even a kind response if you don’t want to give money away.

Or at least, say nothing and turn away in sadness that you’re not being Enabled to give…

The Old Testament says “an eye for an eye”, and other harsh things but Jesus overturned that ruling.
You can stick strictly to the harsh OT rulings if you like, but include me out..
“The law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ” (John 1:17)
“Through Jesus we are saved, and not through Moses” (Acts 13:39)

And regarding welfare, I paid taxes all my working life, but now I’m retired I’m getting it back as pension..
As for beggars, they can apply for social security benefits instead of sponging off us..

I do ignore beggars because I know they’re just scroungers who probably need cash for drugs. There are plenty of worthwhile causes that deserve our cash instead of them..

The word “all” makes it clear, but as we know you interpret Jesus words according to your own heart,

You remind me of this guy,

Luke 18:9-12

“To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable: “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get”.

You aint no Christian.

No, Jesus did NOT do that. The exact opposite is true, as you know or should know.

Matthew 5:17-20
5:17 Think NOT that I am come to destroy The Law, or the Prophets (all of whom taught obedience to God’s Law): I am NOT come to destroy, but to fulfill [i.e. to fully preach The Law (The Torah) and fulfill the prophecies about the first coming of the Messiah].
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in NO WAY pass from The Law, till ALL be fulfilled.
5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least COMMANDments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in The Kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in The Kingdom of heaven.
5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall EXCEED [the righteousness] of the lawyers and politicians, ye shall in no case enter into The Kingdom of heaven.

Luke 16:17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of The Law and Prophecy to fail.

That leaves absolutely no wiggle room for anyone to deceitfully claim that Jesus did away with The Law, found only in the first five books of the Bible, namely Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy.

Anyone who argues otherwise is considered to be “the least” in the Kingdom of heaven, i.e. the lowest of the low in God’s Eyes.

There’s no way for you or any of us to opt out of being judged by Father’s Perfect Law of Liberty, which is the exact criteria that Christ has told us He will be using to judge us all, according to our works (whether they be lawful/good or sinful/criminal/evil).

Lots of people learn through experience as they get older and cut out all the stupidity in their actions but that doesn’t make it as if they’ve been “born again” or repentant in the Christian sense.

Ripcord quote- The Old Testament says “an eye for an eye”, and other harsh things but Jesus overturned that ruling- unquote

Jesus said “turn the other cheek”, he didn’t say “go get revenge”..
And if God wanted us to stick with the Old T, why did he send Jesus to give us the New?.. :face_with_tongue:

As God’s Law has now been brought up in this thread, as it should be REMEMBERED at every opportunity, the following irrefutable fact NEEDS to be pointed out about the Koran/Quran:

The Koran/Quran was NEVER designed nor written to function as a stand alone volume.

That’s why the Koran/Quran clearly and repeatedly instructs its readers to read, study and put into practice The Law (God’s Law, found ONLY in the Bible) and the Gospel (THE Example of Jesus, which we are ALL supposed to be following).

IF someone does that (obeys the Koran/Quran) then ANY alleged “inconsistencies” in the Koran/Quran can and should be corrected with the Bible, so that all of the Scripture is consistent with itself.

There are obvious and intentional transcriptional and translational errors that evil people committed when they translated the Koran/Quran from its original language of Aramaic (Syro-Aramaic) into the newly invented language of Arabic. They committed these crimes at the same time they fabricated the Hadith, which attempts to partner The Word of God with the made-up writings of men (shirk).

Until this fact is clearly understood, Satan/Iblis will continue to deceive “Muslims” into believing the LIE that Jesus allegedly wasn’t crucified, died, was buried and resurrected/raised by God three days and three nights later, when all of that very obviously happened.

The Old Covenant/Testament prophesies all of those things about Jesus. The New Covenant/Testament records all of those things happening. And the Koran/Quran itself CONFIRMS the virgin-birth, life, crucifixion, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus IF it is properly transcribed, translated and understood.

Of course Satan/Iblis also continues to deceive “Christians” too, by getting them to believe the same lies, through their ignorance not only of the Koran/Quran, but of the Old Covenant/Testament and New Covenant/Testament, including the True Teachings of Christ, which they don’t follow.

Stop letting Satan fool all of you.

Jesus WAS crucified and God DID raise him from the dead THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS LATER.

Christ very obviously was NOT killed during the crucifixion - even though the Jewish leaders (the Sanhedrin) actually and mistakenly believed they could murder the IMMORTAL Son of God. And, of course, when they succeeded in murdering Jesus, these same Jewish priests/rabbis smugly thought they had gotten the better of Christ, until they were faced with the FACT that Jesus was raised from the dead, and was then witnessed by dozens and dozens of others AFTER the resurrection, which included showing them (e.g. Thomas) the wounds that had been inflicted upon that body during the crucifixion.

Mate, the Koran is blasphemous by claiming Jesus was not the son of God and that he wasn’t crucified.. :face_with_tongue:

“Turning the other cheek” simply and very obviously means neutralize evil by DOING good. You can’t neutralize evil with more evil.

And what is good and evil? What God defines as good and evil in HIS Law. It is NOT what evil people (aka “sinners”) decide.

Do you think that’s a clever or funny question?

We were all given 4000 years to come to our senses, remember and return to The Law that God gave us to protect us from evil and to set and keep us free.

Sadly, NONE of us were obedient to God and His Law, even though our lives depend upon it, and thus were ALL guilty of treason, on death-row and awaiting our execution.

As our Teacher, Leader (King, Lord and High-Priest), Christ took our DEBT upon Himself in a ONE-TIME act of self-sacrifice, to redeem us from certain death (the prescribed and inescapable penalty under The Law for treason). That sacrifice gave each and every one of us a “clean slate” and a renewed opportunity to change our evil/sinful/criminal ways and learn to be OBEDIENT to God and to DO His Will for everyone’s individual and collective benefit.

It very obviously could not and did NOT do away with The Law, nor with our obligation to keep it for our own benefit.

On Judgment Day, EVERY unrepentant soul that refuses to return to The Perfect Law of Liberty that God gave us, WILL GO INTO THE FIRE.

There will be absolutely NO exceptions.

But if the old T is all we need, why did God think it necessary to give us the Koran which you like to quote from?
Are you a christian or muslim?

No more “buts”. Obey God ONLY. We are to be Disciples of Christ, NOT “Christians” or “Muslims”.

Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the [other] Apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Turning the other cheek had a different meaning back in Jesus’ day.

I may have thrown pearls before swine here but hopefully you start to see that your understanding is close minded. You must come to terms with the fact that sometimes you may be wrong.
