There is a non-trivial amount of evidence that at least the early NASA programs were faked to frighten the Chinese.
I also do hear some other very troubling rumors - to wit, that though space is real, it is possible that much of the Apollo program was indeed fake, and that humankind has still not landed on the moon with anything other than rovers.
The wild theories I heard in this vein at the time were:
- We haven’t actually solved the radiative shielding problem with regards to traveling too far outside Earth’s atmosphere and magnetic field. This is plausible to me. Cosmic radiation is wild stuff. It is absolutely capable of killing a human without the protective effects of Earth’s atmosphere and magnetosphere.
- The moon itself may, um, not actually be barren of sentient life. This is less plausible to me given the lack of surface water and so forth - but not entirely out of scientific reach either, as anyone who has read a majority of threads here knows I believe there may be nonhuman, intelligent, and hostile life on Earth already.
This is all stuff I put in the “vile hearsay” category. Any of it could be

Certainly I do not believe humankind’s satellites are fake, nor the International Space Station.
But I do repeat rumors on issues like this because it is my experience that the truth about any deeply classified lie starts out as the most vile of rumors, and remains in that category for decades until brave muckrakers and journalists really find out what went on.
The issue for me in trusting NASA and our lunar programs remains Lyndon Johnson. He was NASA’s biggest backer - and he was a lying goddamned crook who probably murdered his boss. I absolutely believe the Johnson Space Center could be hiding a lot of bad secrets and that Johnson might have faked U.S. space superiority at the time as a psychological force multiplier in Vietnam.
As usual, as long as Mаsons control our goverment, we are unlikely to get real answers on any of it - so my continued suggestion to the community would be that, rather than fighting endlessly, we all focus instead on getting representation in U.S. government that is not Mаsonic, and would undertake audits of all these problematic agencies that have been perverted from their honest use in serving the American people to peddle war propaganda instead.
