Thank you! Regardless of whether or not you’ve sold your soul, the music industry is a very difficult field to have consistent mainstream success in.

So this woman is not Britney Spears mom, she’s a Brazilian singer called Gretchen, there seems to be some meme online where people are posting videos of her and pretending it’s Britney’s mom, but that’s irrelevant:

I just think clips like this are interesting because some people thought these kind of symbols are only more recent in popular culture (I thought the same until the last year or so) but even in smaller productions in Brazil 40 years ago it was all set up, there’s also an eye on the right wall:

And back wall:

I notice they all do this dance where they put their elbows up like a triangle, even here these are supposedly 3 random women in the audience:

Her own dancers make it clearer when they do it too:

This is the clip I first saw the meme alleging it’s Britney’s mother, but it didn’t make sense because Lynne spears is like Southern from America:

But anyway here’s the actual woman:

Gretchen being her stage name, alter ego? She’s had 17 husbands:

Although wikipedia also says these were mainly boyfriends reported as husbands, in the same page, so I dunno what that’s about.

So Nicki Minaj showed up at a Turning Point event, and although I am right wing/conservative (albeit from Ireland so hardly politically active in America) I have little interest in Turning Point as a positive movement, but I find it interesting that Minaj is doing this. She apparently talked about Christianity and stuff too, so it wasn’t just politically focused.

This is practically career suicide, but I’m not sure exactly how her career was going lately anyway, WAP was quite a few years ago and that was a disgusting shock song, I remember during covid she talked about her cousins jab side effects and then walked it back, and then I believe she’s had at least one baby so she’s a mother now.

But anyway, a few things I found interesting, this tweet:

https://x.com/NICKIMINAJ/status/2002842394954530950

So on the left we have her smoking a blunt, in front of a ton of cameras, in bondage gear, she’s clearly had lots of alter egos, clear signs of monarch butterfly programming, the wigs, Vigilant Citizen has covered her extensively, and then I believe the tweet is telling her younger self on the right, that she’s back to who she was.

This was another interesting moment:

She’s called JD Vance an ā€œassassinā€, very strange, I don’t know if people follow or believe in the theories around Charlie Kirk, and Erika, but I definitely found the entire thing bizarre (like most major events of terrorism/extremist activism or school shootings etc) but I did see her saying as well that she’s not backing down anymore, and referred to her Christianity.

I wonder if saying this about JD Vance, in front of Erika Kirk, was her not backing down.

I don’t know, is anything actually unscripted with these people and these events? Is Nicki Minaj still just playing her part?

I think it is possible she still wants to escape the industry, but I also think this is naive on her part. My understanding from everything I see is that you either have to say «no» to the deals from the very beginning or you say «yes» and never ever go back to normal. None of them can escape after a certain point.

to millions of people she is a rich celebrity. In reality she’s nothing but a puppet. The reason she posted those two photos side by side is probably because at some point she felt like she can get out. The same situation happened to Justin Bieber. He talked a lot about Christianity as well after he sold his catalogue and seemingly moved on with his life. But then everything went back to usual, and his latest album is disgusting - there is a song about faith, but there are also a lot of very explicit songs. Those who own him probably made sure that his new album has these degrading songs, so that he knows his place and to keep him away from Christ.

As for her comment/slip up about Vance, I don’t really get it. Does she think he killed Charlie Kirk? Does Erika think so? How should we interpret Erika’s reaction to the slip up? Very confusing.
Also, we have to keep in mind that everything Erika ever does is staged and scripted and we don’t really even who the real person behind the act is.

I’ve gone back and forth with what I think of this clip and actually, I think it may be nothing. She was being cheeky calling Trump dashing and handsome, then she said ā€œassassinā€ like a slang term, people even say ā€œsniperā€ jokingly. JD Vance isn’t directly connected to the Kirk assassination, Minaj could have played it off, but in the moment she realised she was talking to the widow of someone recently assassinated, and she realised and had a hard cringe to herself when she realised what she said, I actually think it’s no big deal.

I originally found the 30 seconds of awkward silence very odd, but looking at it again, I don’t think it is, they both just played it off very badly, also Minaj is saying things off mic which made it feel more odd.

I guess I’m still going back and forth as I write this  because I still have a reservation about this moment at like 0:31 in the tweet I posted, when Minaj just kinda oddly looks at her and leans in? As if to say ā€œwhat’s your moveā€, that’s just a bizarre reaction, she went from very embarrassed and apologetic body language, to leaning in and almost aggressive.

I don’t even know anymore

Beats me why people sell their souls to Satan?

I think it’s probably just an awkward situation. Because what else could it be? I guess we could imagine a scenario where Nicky Minaj is a federal agent who is just not very good at keeping her mouth shut, but this doesn’t seem plausible, I’ll be honest.

I only just saw the TPUSA clip today and I was so confused as to why Nicki Minaj was there and speaking. I remembered her backing Trump (maybe first time around?) and questioning some of the narratives around c0v1d. WAP is by Cardi B, btw, but Nicki’s music is vulgar too so not much difference. I posted this on another thread earlier today bc the TPUSA clip had me :face_with_spiral_eyes: — Nicki was only recently in a nasty word battle on X with Cardi B, saying all kinds of vulgar stuff about her and her children. And then Erika says in that clip about Nicki’s heart for the Lord. Now of course only God knows her heart towards Him, I just thought it seemed a bit odd to have TPUSA giving her the platform when she doesn’t really have the track record. I mean for goodness sake even the Kardashians call themselves Christians.

This is what I wonder too. My constant question when I see most things on the internet anymore.

@Alex Kanye too, same situation. I think the troubling thing is that it misleads many into not understanding there is a cost to following Jesus, you don’t just say you’re a Christian and keep living however you want. But honestly I’ve started to think that it’s a crafty strategy by Satan. If people see Bieber and Nicki Minaj and Kanye and the Kardashians and Taylor Swift say they ā€œare a Christianā€ while living like hell, they buy into a fake Christianity and potentially remain deceived until the day they die.

I think you’re right about that. There’s nothing random about this pattern. They proclaim they are Christian and then immediately move on to do or say or post something vulgar and degrading. Except I’m not sure we can say it’s completely the same for all of them. There are some (Kardashians, Swift) who are grifters and they just shamelessly call themselves Christians to draw attention, using it for their selfish benefit and they don’t actually care about faith.

As for Bieber, I’m reminded of his Apple Music interview where he talked about Christianity and I was very impressed: you can tell he’s done some homework, that he was genuine about it. Maybe he did this interview in a narrow window of time where he was actually left alone and had the freedom to mind his own business.

@Alex Kanye said some stuff that was legit too, like I was suuuuper skeptical of his conversion but after watching and listening, really believed he had found Jesus. Then came the decline (I don’t expect people to be perfect, let’s be real) and then things got WAY worse, and so it makes you wonder if it was genuine, well scripted, or what.
