I know that eating pork is forbidden by God. Here’s a copy-pasta-reason why:

QUESTION :

What is the teaching of Islam about pork ?

ANSWER : Pig is absolutely unclean and eating its meat, and fat etc.., as well as using its skin or any other parts is strictly forbidden. God has said in various places in the Holy Qur’ãn:-

“Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine…” (5:3)

QUESTION : I, being a Christian, have no difficulty in eating pork. I often wonder why Muslim brethren have not been allowed to enjoy this food, as we Christians do ?

ANSWER : This question is somewhat astonishing because, according to the scriptures, even the Christians are not allowed to eat pork.

QUESTION : How can you say this ?

ANSWER : Well, let us see what the Bible says about pork:

“And the swine… he is unclean to you. Of the flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you.” (Leviticus, 11:7-8).

The same command is repeated in Deuteronomy, 14:8.

Pst: For what it’s worth, to save one’s own life, in case no other food is available, then you may eat thereof. See https://myislam.org/surah-nahl/ayat-115/ for that matter.

I will eat pork if offered or I have to, but I prefer not to because it is an unclean animal.

No idea what that pig is being fed. Same reason I wouldn’t eat a dog. Dogs are nasty. Anything that eats poo, I do not want to eat.

I hate eating shrimp as well. They are the bugs of the ocean. Same with crabs, but I do love me some crab.

P.S: Does it stand for “For Sports Utility”?

Back on-topic:

  • Versatility: The term “sport utility” reflects the ability to perform both sporty and utilitarian functions, from comfortable commuting to excursions.

versatile

adjective

able to adapt or be adapted to many different functions or activities.

utilitarian

/jʊˌtɪlɪˈtɛːriən/

“a utilitarian building”

I know that a rainbow occurs when the sun shines through the rain.

I know that a rainbow is composed of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.

Red as fiery fire

Orange as a version milder

Yellow as the sunny sun

Green as the greenness of trees

Blue as the blue sky

And indigo and violet as darker and shinier shades for each other.

Is it to the general public’s knowledge that to have a sense of direction in life is actually quite very important?

Firstly, I know and am very certain about it that I am one day, or perhaps even one night, gonna succumb to death.

So what is there to do except prepare for the next temporary life that I am expecting in the world of the deceased, the world of the grave?

What I know about Haya (Modesty)

Observing Haya involves cultivating an internal sense of modesty, self-respect, and bashfulness that guides a person’s behavior, speech, and dress in the Islamic faith. It stems from an acute awareness that God is constantly observing one’s actions, whether in public or private.

Fun fact: ‘‘Haya’’ is ‘Ayah’ in reverse, ‘Ayah’ meaning a verse from Scripture.

Regardless,

Haya (Arabic for “shyness” or “modesty”) is a comprehensive moral quality and is considered an integral part of faith (Iman). It is distinct from the negative connotation of “shame” and is an unquestionably positive virtue that leads to goodness.

  • Awareness of God: The highest form of Haya is the consciousness that God is always watching. This prevents a person from committing sins, even when alone.

  • Self-Respect: Haya includes a strong sense of self-respect and dignity that encourages one to avoid actions that are considered indecent or below one’s worth as a believer.

  • Driving Force for Goodness: Rather than being a sign of weakness, Haya is a strength that drives individuals to obey divine commands, be honest, and treat others with kindness and consideration.

  • Modesty in Conduct: It dictates behavior in all aspects of life, including:

    • Dress: Adhering to modest dress codes for both men and women.

    • Speech: Avoiding vulgarity or flirtatious communication.

    • Interaction: Maintaining appropriate boundaries in interactions with the opposite sex.

    • Gaze: Lowering one’s gaze to avoid looking at inappropriate sights.

And here is the Verse (Ayah) of The Throne from Chapter 2 of The Holy Qur’an).

Did you know?

The first verse revealed to the Last Prophet sent by God to Planet Earth was a command commanding him to read?

The first verses of the Qur’an to be revealed were the first five verses of Surah Al-’Alaq (The Clinging Clot). These verses were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad in a cave near Mecca, initiating his prophethood.

  • Surah Al-Alaq (96:1-5):

    • Read! In the name of your Lord Who created”

    • “Created man from a clinging clot”

    • “Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous”

    • “Who taught by the pen”

    • “Taught man that which he knew not”

I know how to use a computer. I am therefore somebody who is computer literate.

I know how to push the ‘‘on’’ button. I know how to plug in the cables, more or less.

And I know how to operate all the windows operating systems, I think…

Do we not consider our veins and the rivers of the world?

Do we not consider our fingernails and the moon crescent?

Do we not see how everything that’s around us is actually a part of us whether in one way or another?

AI’s overview:

The “microcosm-macrocosm” analogy is the ancient idea that the human body is a “little world” (microcosm) that mirrors the greater universe (macrocosm). This philosophical and spiritual concept suggests that the structures and systems within the human body reflect those of the cosmos, implying a fundamental interconnectedness between humans and the universe. This analogy has been explored in various cultures and philosophies, such as ancient Greek thought, Neoplatonism, Renaissance philosophy, and Eastern traditions.

Key aspects of the analogy

  • Structural similarity: The idea proposes a direct structural comparison. For example, the atom’s structure with its nucleus and orbiting electrons was likened to the solar system. Early thinkers compared different parts of the body to different celestial regions; in a geocentric model, the head was the highest heaven, the chest was where the planets orbited, the abdomen was the lower world, and the legs were the earth.

  • Shared elements and forces: Ancient philosophers like Plato saw the human body as containing the four elements (earth, water, fire, and ether) that were believed to have created the cosmos. Similarly, the human body’s four humors (blood, phlegm, yellow bile, and black bile) were thought to correspond to these elements and influence one’s temperament.

  • Spiritual and philosophical connections: The concept is deeply tied to spiritual and philosophical ideas about the soul. If the universe was animated by a “world soul,” then the human body was thought to be animated by its own soul, seen as a divine spark within.

  • Application in different fields: Beyond philosophy, this analogy was fundamental to fields like astrology, as it was believed that celestial events had a direct influence on human life. It also informed early medical theories, such as those of the Renaissance physician Paracelsus, who used it to explain the relationship between the human body and its environment.

I know how to copy and paste things on a computer system.

You can use a keyboard or a mouse or both at the same time for that matter.

One can press the CTRL key and the C key at the same time after having selected something one wants to copy.

And then, one must press the CTRL key and the V key to paste it.

Otherwise, the mouse also can be used by right clicking and selecting the copy and paste options wheresoever it’s needed.

A doppelgänger is a person who looks exactly like another person but is not biologically related, often associated with supernatural or ominous origins. A duplicate is an exact, often manufactured, copy of an object, like a key or a document, that serves the same purpose.

An almanac is a yearly publication with a calendar that includes astronomical data like sun and moon phases, tide schedules, and weather forecasts. It often contains miscellaneous information such as historical facts, recipes, and tips for gardening or farming. Historically, almanacs were crucial for farmers and navigators and have existed in various forms since ancient times, with the first printed version appearing in Europe in 1457.

I know a thing or two about exploring the world wide web!

The World Wide Web is a global system of interconnected hypertext documents accessible via the Internet, allowing for the sharing of information through user-friendly ways like web pages, text, images, and videos. It was invented by Tim Berners-Lee in 1989 at CERN, who developed the first web server, browser, and webpage to help researchers share data more easily. The Web is not the same as the Internet, as it is just one of many applications that run on top of the Internet.

@UnderAlienControl

The “eye from Alien: Earth” refers to the Trypanohyncha Ocellus (T. Ocellus), a parasitic alien creature nicknamed “the Eye”. It is an intelligent, octopus-like being with a body that is essentially a large eyeball with multiple irises, and it takes control of hosts by replacing their eye with its own and hijacking the nervous system through the optic nerve. Its motivations are unclear, but it has demonstrated strategic behavior, including fighting a xenomorph and manipulating other creatures, suggesting it has its own agenda beyond being a simple monster.

Characteristics of the T. Ocellus

  • Appearance: A smooth, eyeball-like body with multiple independent irises that can merge and mimic other eyes. It has tentacles that are incredibly strong and agile.

  • Invasion method: It dislodges a host’s eye with its tentacles and replaces it with its own ocular node, using the eye socket to connect to the brain.

  • Control: It takes over the host’s nervous system and major motor functions, effectively turning the host into a “skinsuit”. It may also gain access to the host’s memories and skills.

  • Intelligence: The T. Ocellus exhibits high intelligence and strategic thinking, similar to human-level problem-solving.

  • Behavior: It can act independently from other creatures on the ship. In one instance, it warned a human about an escaped creature, suggesting an awareness of threats to both itself and others.

What is an example of a condiment?

Condiments include those added to cooking to impart flavor, such as barbecue sauce and soy sauce; those added before serving, such as mayonnaise in a sandwich; and those added tableside to taste, such as ketchup with fast food. Condiments can also provide other health benefits to diets that lack micronutrients.
