I’ve been watching Al Jazeera commentators speak on the armada and i found myself wondering whether this buildup isn’t also meant as deterrence to Israel that desperately wants this done & dusted because Trump, clearly, doesn’t get anything out of this. Domestically, no one wants a war. He sees the Shah’s son (part of the “day-after” plan) in the same light as Corina Machado, with no solid popular support. I think you’re right. Apparently, Hezbollah, and the Houthis and other players are prepared to enter the fight….whenever that will be in the coming months.
