What scripture? The Torah/The Old testament? Before Jesus appeared? My impression is to try and conflate and confuse the teachings. Jesus wrecked physical temples. The guide lies within, not without.
1 Corinthians 3:16 is a pivotal New Testament verse where the Apostle Paul tells believers, “Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?”
Everywhere. Throughout the Old Covenant/Testament, New Covenant/Testament and the Koran/Quran we are repeatedly told there is ONE True God: the “I AM” (Allah means THE God). A few examples:
Exodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM : and He said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, “I AM” hath sent me unto you (same as all of the Prophets before Jesus and Christ Himself, who repeatedly reminded us that God sent him).
Numbers 23:19 God [is] NOT a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do [it]? or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good? (All-powerful, not ever subject to human limitations)
Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven IS perfect.
Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name (“I AM”).
Mark 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The First of all the Commandments [is], Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is ONE Lord:
John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto MY Father, and your Father; and [to] MY God, and your God.
Sura 2:163. And your God is One God. There is no god but He, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
Sura 2:255. The “I AM” - (YHWH) (Allah). There is no god but He,- the Living, the Self-Existing - (YHWH in Hebrew - “I AM” in English), Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on Earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His Knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the Earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is The Most High, The Supreme (in Glory).
These are a few of hundreds of examples.
Before God created Christ (Col. 1:12-15), before Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, and during the time Christ incarnated Jesus, and afterwards, and forever.
Psalm 90:1-2
90:1 [ Prayer of Moses the man of God.] Lord, Thou hast been our dwelling place in ALL generations.
90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever Thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, Thou [art] God.
??? There’s only ever been ONE Message, just like there’s ONE God and ONE Whom God anointed to be our Teacher, Saviour and King (Christ).
And that message is this: REPENT (stop sinning) and DO God’s Will, which begins with keeping His Perfect Law of Liberty (found only in the first five books of the Bible).
Agreed. God doesn’t dwell in temples made with human hands.
Acts 7:48-53
7:48 Howbeit the Most High dwelleth NOT in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
7:49 Heaven [is] My throne, and Earth [is] My footstool: what house will ye build Me? saith the Lord: or what [is] the place of My rest?
7:50 Hath not My hand made all these things?
7:51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Spirit: as your fathers [did], so [do] ye.
7:52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? And they have slain them which showed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:
7:53 Who have received The Law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept [it].
And, as Christ said, only heathens and hypocrites go to church, synagogue, mosque, temple, etc.
Matthew 6:5-8
6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt NOT be as the hypocrites [ARE]: for they love to pray standing in the churches and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward (they have been seen by men, but God will not answer them).
6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and WHEN THOU HAST SHUT THY DOOR, pray to thy Father in private (Enoch 56:5; Sura 7:55); and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly (by answering you).
6:7 But when ye pray, use NOT vain repetitions, as the heathen [DO]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
6:8 Be NOT ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, BEFORE ye ask Him.
Stay rooted in God’s word my friend. The Christian Gnostic beliefs have too many parallels to Luciferian beliefs to be trusted. Both believe God is the bad guy withholding truth and while Sophia/Lucifer bring enlightenment. Both believe you reach some sort of heaven through your own means rather than through God.
