As a believer I agree with many of the same beliefs as you. In fact I find myself agreeing more with Muslims than I do with Christianâs, especially when it comes to eating pork, the Trinity, and Jesus being God.
I must draw the line when certain beliefs conflict with the books of the Bible and the Quran.
I had a discussion with akay in the old forum and let him know I would take a look at the books of the Hadith. I stopped reading when I found this.
For example lying is forbidden in the book of Exodus and beyond, listed as one of the Ten Commandments. In Sunnah lying is allowed in war and between husband and wife.

Many animals listed here as halal conflict with the bible such as duck, crane, rabbit, goose, ostrich, zebra, etc. Nowhere in the Quran does it say these animals are lawful for food.
I know Muslims have their differences about what animals are lawful. But the Bible makes it clear early on in the book of Genisis, and the Quran makes it clear that eating pig flesh is only allowed when necessary. So I must agree that eating camel, horse, zebra, crane, goose, rabbit, duck etc is permissible, but only when nessesary.

6:78. When he saw the Sun rising in splendour, he said: âThis is my Lord; this is the greatest (of all).â But when the Sun set, he said: âO my People! I am indeed free from your (guilt) of giving partners to God.
6:79. For me, I have set my face, firmly and truly, towards Him Who created the heavens and the Earth, and never shall I give partners to God.â
6:80. His people disputed with him. He said: "(Come) ye to dispute with me, about God, when He (Himself) hath guided me? I fear not (the beings) ye associate with God: unless my Lord willeth, (nothing can happen). My Lord comprehendeth in His knowledge all things. Will ye not (yourselves) be advised?

Evil (and unjust) is their assignment!
6:137. Even so, in the eyes of most of the Pagans, their âpartnersâ made alluring the slaughter of their children, in order to lead them to their own destruction, and cause confusion in their religion. If âI AMâ had willed, they would not have done so: but leave alone them and their inventions.
Sura 6:148. Those who give partners (to âI AMâ) will say: âIf âI AMâ had wished, we should not have given partners to Him, nor would our fathers; nor should we have had any taboos.â So did their ancestors argue falsely, until they tasted of Our wrath. Say: âHave ye ANY (certain) knowledge? If so, produce it before us. Ye follow nothing but conjecture: ye do nothing but lie.â

To those who believe not, their pretence seems pleasing, but they are kept back (thereby) from The Way. And those whom âI AMâ leaves to stray, no one can guide.

Sura 18:42. So his fruits (and enjoyment) were encompassed (with ruin), and he remained twisting and turning his hands over what he had spent on his property, which had (now) tumbled to pieces to its very foundations, and he could only say, âWoe is me! Would I had never ascribed partners to my Lord and Cherisher!â
Sura 18:52. One Day He will say, âCall on those whom ye thought to be My partners,â and they will call on them, but they will not listen to them; and We shall make for them a place of common perdition.
Sura 18:110. Say: "I am only a man like yourselves, (but) the inspiration has come to me, that your God is One God: whoever expects to meet his Lord, let him work righteousness, and, in the worship of his Lord, admit no one as His partner.
Sura 22:31. Being true in faith to âI AMâ, and never assigning partners to Him (Jer. 44:19-29): if anyone assigns partners to âI AMâ, he is as if he had fallen from heaven and been snatched up by birds, or the wind had swooped (like a bird on its prey) and thrown him into a far-distant place.
Sura 23:59. Those who join not (in worship) partners with their Lord;
Sura 23:92. He knows what is hidden and what is open: too high is He for the partners they attribute to Him!
Sura 25:2. He to Whom belongs the Dominion of the heavens and the Earth: no human son has He begotten, nor has He a partner in His Dominion (Jer. 44:19-29): it is He Who created all things, and ordered them in due proportions.
Sura 28:62-64
28:62. That Day (âI AMâ) will call to them, and say: âWhere are My âpartnersâ?- whom ye imagined (to be such)?â
28:63. Those against whom the charge will be proved, will say: âOur Lord! These are the ones whom we led astray: we led them astray, as we were astray ourselves: we free ourselves (from them) in Thy presence: it was not us they worshipped.â
28:64. It will be said (to them): âCall upon your âpartnersâ (for help)â: they will call upon them, but they will not listen to them; and they will see The Penalty (before them); (how they will wish) âIf only we had been open to Guidance!â
Sura 28:68. Thy Lord does create and choose as He pleases: no choice have they (in the matter): Glory to âI AMâ! And far is He above the partners they ascribe (to Him)!
Sura 30:12-14
30:12. On the Day that the Hour (Mark 13:32) will be established, the guilty will be struck dumb with despair.
30:13. No intercessor will they have among their âPartnersâ and they will (themselves) reject their âPartnersâ.
30:14. On the Day that the Hour will be established,- that Day shall (all men) be sorted out.
Sura 30:40. It is âI AMâ Who has created you: further, He has provided for your sustenance; then He will cause you to die; and again He will give you life (re-incarnation). Are there any of your (false) âPartnersâ who can do any single one of these things? Glory to Him! And high is He above the partners they attribute (to Him)!
Sura 34:27. Say: âShow me those whom ye have joined with Him as partners: by no means (can ye). Nay, He is âI AMâ, the Exalted in Power, the Wise.â
Sura 35:14. If ye invoke them, they will not listen to your call, and if they were to listen, they cannot answer your (prayer). On The Day of Judgment they will reject your âPartnershipâ. And none, (O man!) can tell thee (the Truth) like the One Who is acquainted with all things.
Sura 35:40. Say: "Have ye seen (these) âPartnersâ of yours whom ye call upon besides âI AMâ? Show Me what it is they have created in the (wide) Earth. Or have they a share in the heavens? Or have We given them a Book from which they (can derive) clear (evidence)?- Nay, the wrong-doers promise each other nothing but delusions.
Sura 40:12. (The answer will be:) âThis is because, when âI AMâ was invoked as the Only (object of worship), ye did reject Faith, but when partners were joined to Him, ye believed! The Command is with âI AMâ, Most High, Most Great!â
Sura 40:42. Ye do call upon me to blaspheme against âI AMâ, and to join with Him partners of whom I have no knowledge; and I call you to the Exalted in Power, Who forgives again and again!"
Sura 40:84-85
40:84. But when they saw Our Punishment, they said: âWe believe in âI AMâ,- the One God - and we reject the partners we used to join with Him.â
40:85. But their professing the Faith when they (actually) saw Our Punishment was not going to profit them. (Such has been) âI AMâ's Way of dealing with His servants (from the most ancient times). And even thus did the Rejecters of âI AMâ perish (utterly)!
Sura 41:47-48
41:47. To Him is referred the Knowledge of The Hour (of Judgment: He knows all): no date-fruit comes out of its sheath, nor does a female conceive (within her womb) nor bring forth (young), except by His Knowledge. The Day that (âI AMâ) will propound to them the (question), âWhere are the Partners (ye attributed) to Me?â They will say, âWe do assure Thee not one of us can bear witness!â
41:48. The (deities) they used to invoke aforetime will leave them in the lurch, and they will perceive that they have no way of escape.
Sura 42:21. What! Have they partners (in Godhead), who have established for them some religion without the permission of âI AMâ. Had it not been for the Decree of Judgment, the matter would have been decided between them (at once). But verily the wrong-doers will have a grievous Penalty.
Sura 59:23. âI AMâ is He, than Whom there is no other God- the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Source of Peace (and Perfection), the Guardian of Faith, the Preserver of Safety, the Almighty, the Irresistible, the Supreme: Glory to âI AMâ! (High is He) above the partners they attribute to Him.
Sura 68:41. Or have they some âPartnersâ (in Godhead)? Then let them produce their âpartnersâ, if they are truthful!
