I shared the clip above bcz I found it interesting that NCT127 were flops until 2020 until they started sexualizing the members. My theory is they got a sponsor in 2020 after the members were sexualized which they weren’t getting earlier bcz the members had a teenage boys like image. The problem in NCT127 was I believe LSM’s favouritism. LSM always chose his faves in his BGs and invested heavily in them. His faves in NCT127 were Taeyong, Mark and Haechan but Haechan and Mark were in Dream and Taeyong got into Superm in 2019 so LSM’s personal investment went to Superm not NCT127 as a group and they kept flopping as a result. This is anecdotal but there was a guy who said online he was in South Korea and saw a no name idol group doing a shopping mall performance. He liked the look of one of the girls and went over and asked the manager if she was available for $1000 US.
