Recycling is a scam

How much actually gets recycled?

(written by me but with a lot of sources put together)

According to National Geographic only 9% of plastics gets recycled, and 79% of plastics becomes landfill and pollution in the oceans. If these precentages keep rising, by the year 2050 there will be 12 billion tons of plastic will all create and build up even larger masses and amounts of landfill. Research and studies have also been done on this scam of recycling. Geyer who is a professor of industrial ecology at the univeristy of califorina santa barbra has studied and uncovered that the rapid acceleration of plastic manufacturing (which has doubled roughly every 15 years has outplaced nearly every other man-made material) And it is unlikely virtually every other material. Half of all steel produced, for example, is used in construction with a decades-long lifespan. However half of all plastic manufactured becomes trash in less than a year, the study found. Now we know how much recycling actually hurts the enviroment more by becoming pollution, landfill and literal trash. But thats just about half of what happens recycling, the other half just gets burned along with the other garbage. An investigation by a collab of campagian group “Everyday Plastic” and the “Environmental investigation” agency" used apple airtags to track down where soft plastic packaging waste that was collected for recycling at sainsburys and tesco stores end up, it was found that it all ended up being burned, not recycled.

You probably won’t be surprised to hear that big oil companies helped push plastic recycling. And what is plastic made of? Oil.

If recycling plastic was worthwhile then companies would pay people for old plastic. Instead we have to pay companies to take our old plastic.

I Know most of canaduhs recycling gets shipped to other countries

if Ya think about it

We were doing a better job recycling decades ago

glass bottles that when returned gave a little cash back, giving everyone a incentive to return them to be reused

metal toys/items that could be broken down and melted into new items

We can tell its all a scam look at the recycle cans placed around for Peoples to dispose of their garbage

it has a opening for the plastic/paper and glass

when Ya look close Ya will See there is nothing that seperates them into seperate containers for the items
