Hi it's VC - ask me questions!

Brother in Christ,

Theres bound to be a lot of people in these forums interested in new age and spirituality so there are many blends of ideas. We’re all here to guide one another so I say this with love, as you considered yourself Christian.

I hope your interest in astrology is a passing curiosity rather than something to consider as predestined or to look for guidance. The belief that the stars or planets can shape our lives, destinies, or personalities falls under a form of divination, even if it may seem harmless compared to sorcery or witchcraft. Attributing power to stars or planets undermines divine sovereignty.

Isaiah 47:13–14 (NRSV)

“Let those who study the heavens stand up and save you, those who gaze at the stars, who at each new moon predict what shall befall you… See, they are like stubble; the fire consumes them.”

Deuteronomy 18:10–12

“Let no one be found among you who… practices divination or interprets omens…”

Scripture emphasizes free will and moral accountability. Astrology’s determinism conflicts with that. We’re taught to seek guidance from God through prayer, Scripture, and the Holy Spirit, instead of celestial patterns.
