So public statements like that are meant, in my view, to reinforce a narrative or sell something to the public. It doesn’t necessarily mean that he is lying (Oct 7th, he was clearly lying about Israeli “failure of intelligence). Maybe it is meant to lull the Iranians into a trap but given the modus operandi of TPTB, you always have to a “big baddie” to blame for the ensuing pain. Covid, it was China (not the Western elites that spent years planning for it). The Reset (you, losing your house, job, etc) will be blamed on Iran “winning”.
The usual suspects are preparing the public to crucify Trump….not Bibi, Israel or the hawks inside & outside the administration that egged the president on
