Vigilant Citizen Safety Net

Greetings, Vigilant Citizens,

Would anybody be opposed to me starting a thread that helps us check-in if we feel unsafe in our fight against the elite? And when I talk about ‘fight’ I’m referring to preventative education, seminars, community activism. With what happened to Charlie Kirk there is an unease (and fortitude) amongst those who stand up and speak truth.

I have been organizing a large event to educate communities about preventing underage sex trafficking. The event is in November (in the Southeast) and I have been getting strange and/or non-responses from government. Somebody actually laughed when I put a sign up promoting the event.

I feel like I need to announce that I’m not suicidal and I hold no ill will toward anybody. I have kept up with Vigilant Citizen since 2014. I’m Christ centered and loyal to those who seek truth.

So, if possible, and within VC’s guidelines, can we make this a safe checkin space? Thank you and have a good day.

I vote yes! And is there a way any of us could help you with what you’re doing? I would like to support you.

Woot woot! This is our happy place  I will live stream the event at our insta page (@pietascoalition) November 1st. If anybody would like to attend via virtual method. That’s the best way to support, just showing up and helping communities understand how to protect their children.

I couldn’t find a discussion so I’m asking here.. how do you ward off evil or protect yourself against spiritual attacks?

I’m about the metaphoric blood of Christ and the Holy Spirit. Get really comfortable with spiritual tourettes. :joy:

A “get thee hence” and/or “rebuke” worked into a conversation go a long way. You can also try the oil medley mentioned in the old testament. Stand with His authority.

Covering yourself in the blood of Jesus is a great start. Remember that the Holy Spirit is our Helper and Advocate, and He wants to lead us in wisdom. For example, I once encountered a man at a mall — he was trying to sell skincare products and kind of caught me off guard by saying hello and asking me a question and so I was trying not to be rude by just walking away. Long story short, he started saying some weird things, asked me when my birthday was, said some strange things about my future children, and the whole thing just felt very off. When I walked away I was just going to kind of shrug it off, but almost immediately felt like I was supposed to actively pray against that interaction. So I went in the bathroom and did just that, and I realize now how the Holy Spirit led me to pray specific things (cancel word curses, cancel anything he did or said against my future children, etc.). He is so faithful to lead us, and He wants to walk in relationship with us in that way.

Psalm 91 is excellent to declare over yourself and your family.

John Eldredge has some great resources. He has several prayers that you might find helpful. The Daily Prayer is one that includes very specific wording around protection and coming against foul and evil spirits. The Bedtime Prayer is a short prayer which includes some of these things too and also includes praying protection and consecration over your home (or wherever you’re staying).

I’ll reply with a few more resources once I gather the links.

The Wild at Heart podcast has a lot of episodes on spiritual warfare. John Eldredge is my go-to resource for these things. He has fantastic books, as well. “Walking with God” is so helpful.

An obvious one that I forgot! Putting on the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18).

The moment you realize that some of the people who support and encourage you are the same ones praying/wishing for your demise.

I am curious HOW DO we prevent it?

Start with prayer and fasting to identify the spiritual strongholds. Make a list of nonprofits who are in the prevention path. Research them to make sure they are legit. Volunteer for existing preventative education programs. Communicate your volunteerism on social media, get your personal network interested. Be positive and encouraging with posting (people become desensitized real quick if it’s all doom and gloom). Start at the micro level; authentic conversations to raise awareness. If the people you talk to are from high risk situations or areas (high eviction rates, school truancies, poverty) connect them with the riggt resources in addition to preventative education. Deterrence is one of the keys. Consider donating safety whistles to elementary schools. And if you are brave enough and have the time, host a community safety seminar. Listen to the community to determine what’s working and what isn’t.

For me, spiritual alignment is really important. A survivor found me because of our shared path in Christ. Now she is our anti-trafficking seminar presenter. Real wisdom. Boots on the ground.
