A 14-year-old boy was found in a secret detention facility linked to Ukraine’s notorious Azov Corps near Kyiv on Monday, November 2, amid disturbing reports of torture and the illegal detention of dozens of people. Shocking footage circulating on social media shows the teenager being escorted from the property, while Azov has confirmed that one of its military units was operating at the site, where several wounded soldiers were also found.
The scandal erupted in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka, a suburb west of Kyiv, after reports emerged that armed personnel were holding dozens of people inside a private home. Videos that quickly spread on Ukrainian social media showed angry residents attempting to break through the property’s gates, confronting masked personnel, and demanding the release of those allegedly being held in the basement.
Some of the most disturbing footage shows visibly injured men inside the building, while another clip captures a man with an apparently bloodied head climbing over a fence. Witnesses accused those running the facility of beating and torturing detainees, claiming that several were in critical condition and had been denied medical care.
The discovery of the 14-year-old further exacerbated the scandal. Eyewitnesses said the teenager had been beaten with a shovel, leaving him in a state of severe distress. Kyrylo Budanov, the head of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office, visited the scene and spoke with the boy, describing the situation as “something that should not happen” and promising to investigate the matter.
Budanov, however, made an even more alarming revelation when asked about the facility’s existence. “There are many similar buildings,” he acknowledged, according to Ukraine’s Channel 24, adding that the authorities would investigate why such facilities were in operation and what was happening inside them. He also revealed that 14 people were being held captive on the property.
According to the Azov Corps, the property had been used by Military Unit 3121 as a “temporary deployment facility,” which meant that mobilized officers and soldiers who were apprehended after going AWOL were “housed” there before being transferred to their respective units.

As a reminder, four men were hospitalized today from the facility with injuries, while several dozen more were brought out showing signs of violence.
