Palestine/zionism Thread

There’s a good tweet in the article that shows the complete absurdity we “brits” are faced with. It’s worth clicking the link just to watch the video of the tweet.

“A video has ignited questions over the impartiality of British policing after a man holding a placard reading “I oppose Palestine Action I support genocide” approached officers and asked why he was not being arrested despite police detaining people carrying Palestine Action signs”

Preliminary information indicates that the US plan for the Gaza Strip, being developed through the Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC), is based on imposing a rigid geographical separation system that divides Gaza into population blocks and closed military zones.

Israeli assault in occupied West Bank fuels new displacement crisis: UN

Intensified Israeli army raids in northern West Bank areas have caused displacement, school closures, and disruptions to local services, a spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres says.

“Over 95,000 Palestinians were affected by expanded operations by Israeli forces in the northern area in recent days, particularly in Jenin and Tubas governorate,” Stephane Dujarric told reporters in New York City.

At the same time, Dujarric said Israeli settler attacks have continued “unabated” in the West Bank, with at least 1,680 violent incidents that caused casualties or property damage documented by the UN’s humanitarian office so far this year.

Settler violence has affected more than 270 Palestinian communities across the occupied West Bank. “That’s an average of five incidents per day,” Dujarric added.

Israeli drone chases and kills 70-year-old Palestinian woman and son

Just in the past 30 minutes, there was a confirmed attack by an Israeli quadcopter that chased a 70-year-old woman and her son, 25, as they walked in an area about 1km (half a mile) away from the “yellow line” – deep in Gaza City.

They were hunted by the drone that fired and killed both of them. They were left there to bleed to death, and nobody from the surrounding area was able to get to them because the quadcopter was still hovering.

This is just one of many violations throughout the day and throughout the past 50 days since the truce came into effect.

Many people in most of these areas do not see the yellow line because it’s not clear. It’s not visible. There are no clear markings or signage to show this is the ceasefire demarcation that is a restricted and dangerous area.

Ceasefire death toll hits 367 as bodies arrive at Gaza’s hospitals

Six bodies, including five recovered from the rubble and one new death, as well as 15 wounded Palestinians arrived at Gaza’s hospitals over the past 48 hours.

In a situational update, the Health Ministry said on Telegram that since the ceasefire started with Israel on October 11, at least 367 people have been killed, 953 wounded, and 624 bodies recovered.

Overall, since the war began in October 2023, Israeli attacks have killed 70,354 Palestinians and wounded 171,030.

Palestinians flee eastern Gaza City as Israeli forces launch attack

By Hani Mahmoud

Violations of the ceasefire are becoming the daily norm for many Palestinians here.

In the past couple of hours, heavy machine-gun fire and the dense presence of drones could be heard where we are broadcasting from.

The confirmation we have from a source on the ground is that the Israeli military pushed its tanks and armoured vehicles, along with bulldozers, deeper into the western areas of Gaza City. That’s about 300 to 500 metres (330-550 yards) beyond the original “yellow line”, right at the edge of Salah al-Din Street.

That means more areas are under Israeli military control, and it has started to set up these sand barriers, isolating the entire eastern part of Gaza City. People are fleeing from that area into the central part of the city.

We live in a world where Ms Rachel has faced more pressure for defending Palestinian children than Israel has for slaughtering them.

They’ve probably just realised that nominating her for “antisemite” of the year is actually regarded as a great honour among the non nutjob members of planet Earth

Bethlehem lights up Christmas tree amid hopes for economic recovery

“Bethlehem has lit up its Christmas tree for the first time in two years.
Israel’s genocide in Gaza, and continuing assaults in the occupied West Bank have prevented Palestinians from celebrating until now.
Palestinians hope first Christmas tree lighting ceremony in three years will encourage tourists to return to the city, which has been undergoing a severe economic crisis”.
