Tbh i don’t know anything about Somaliland, but if they’re friends with the entity then my default position is that they must be wrong uns
Very briefly as I don’t have much internet access atm, Somalia and ‘Somaliland’ had a civil war in 1990-1991. It’s a land with many clans and tribes and there’s a lot of inner conflict for domination. The ‘Somaliland’ region has been trying to break away from Somalia since the civil war but hasn’t been successful. China and Russia aren’t keen on breaking up countries so that door was closed. They’ve managed to strike a few deals with Taiwan over the years as they’re also working towards recognition.
Somali land is located in the Horn of Africa, which is just across from Yemen. At present there are no foreign military bases there so Netanyahu has of course invited them to join The Abraham Accords. He’s dangled a carrot in front of them, the promise of sovereignty which has been something they’ve yearned for. They’ve fallen for his promise of sovereignty in exchange for a list of caveats which have yet to be published but will soon come to light in the coming days and weeks.
I totally agree Scout. They are wronguns completely blindsided by their own desires. So what if you’re not a sovereign nation? You have existed this long safely and in peace. Dealing with the devil for your own political interests and gains will come back to haunt you.
In your ME article it says ted cruz asked trump to recognise Somaliland,
In August, Ted Cruz, the Republican senator from Texas, wrote to President Donald Trump urging him to formally recognise Somaliland.
Cruz said Hargeisa was seeking to strengthen ties with Israel and had voiced support for the Abraham Accords.
I’m guessing Trump took “advice” and the hypocrisy of recognising Somaliland but not recognising a Palestinian state was pointed out to him.
I really should pay more attention to the “clean break strategy”, especially the states that don’t border Palestine.
Unfortunately i always have a tendency to by-pass what’s going on with them.
^Good post.
The Genocide live link has over 1500 videos
In my mind it would be logistically impossible to force 1.5 million people to move that distance.
Coincidentally, I’ve just watched a video lecture where in one part the prof says that zionism will take over Africa. I’ll post the video in Orwell’s thread as it seems a better fit.
If they expel Palestinians from both Gaza & the West Bank, they wouldn’t resettle them in one place. It is my belief that they plan on dispersing them around the globe. You may remember the flights to South Africa
I haven’t come across the haaretz article mentioned in the MEE video. I did read this one from ei,
