Excellent post, that is strange she may have been abused and is now broken by losing her abusers in her life. Strange but probably not uncommon.
She did also have surgery when she was very young, maybe age 22, obviously in the 90s when that was not common at such an age.
Still pretty but certainly not the sharper Hollywood image we see of her in the 2000s, I don’t think its just weight loss. Teeth have definitely been done.
But at such a young age to go under the knife, it’s like she was always groomed to be this star and sex symbol.

I had the same thought, I read about his death, there’s actually a lot of information about it on his wiki.
Although I am always keeping an open mind, I also think its possible tragedies just happen (but there’s a reason they happen much more to famous people) and it seems unlikely it would be for her stardom decades earlier.
I also looked up Kates mothers career in television and it didn’t really take off either after the death.
This being said, anything is possible, for example the most recent giant talent in the football world (soccer) Yamal, had a photoshoot 18 years ago as a baby with the current “GOAT” Lionel Messi, I mean how and why?!
Apparently it was some sort of raffle, the babies parents weren’t even athletes or anything just had normal jobs, what are the chances he’d go on to be recognised as one of the world’s best players at only age 16 (and was signed to Barcelonas youth set up at age 6)
The chances of that happening seem less likely than manufacturing an actresses career, because sport is a lot more random. At least with Kate Beckinsale there’s a good chance she’ll turn out to be basically good looking based on her parents being actors and her mother a model, and plastic surgery can enhance that further, and she will likely have at least some acting talent, even if not a generational talent, can get away with being on screen.
So who knows.

@Elimin82 I totally forgot about Tara Reid. Wow. I remember when she got weird… 20ish years ago. She all of a sudden looked terrible and was acting strange. She got sickly skinny. Of course back then it was assumed she was partying too much and doing drugs. I just looked up her career on Wikipedia, she started acting at age 6. And it literally says, “her roles established her as a sex symbol in the late 1990s.” A lot has probably been done to her. The picture on her Wikipedia page is awful, she looks super old at age 50.
