Good food,sustainable living and prepping

this thread is for Us to Share information about gardening,Good food/brands that can be found in grocery stores still, prep and preservation, storage etc..prepping and all things that entails

anything that Helps in living the best Ya can without the gmoing, engineering and poisoned food tptb supply, maybe Ya wanna get back to the ways of the generations past or the crap hits the fan

it’s always Good to try being as self sufficient as possible from the system.

try to have a stock of food that can last Ya at least 1 month but anything is better than nothing if things go wrong.

most including myself are on a budget so everything I share will be done for Peoples who are living within a budget range. this way anyone can try the things shared in this thread

this can be done slowly,a extra bag/can gotten here and there is a Good way to start and grow Your stock pile

gardening seeds are a Good staple to have a few packs of certain things Ya enjoy eating, anything that requires little to no attention potatoes, sqaushes, turnip, carrots ect..are a few to start out.

there is also things that can be regrown from the seeds or left overs from grocery store. lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, onions or chives ect..can all be done from the ends(tops)that are usually cut off and thrown out.

I Know many live in apartments and don’t have anywhere to grow a garden.

there are ways Ya can grow indoors, for most everything.

Good soil of course is a given.some Peoples use their own composted soil instead of bought soil(I use bought when I grow)

7 spectrum(grow lights) lights that mimick sunlight is always Helpful in growing(speciallyif Ya dont get alot of sun)but are not necessary.

deep tupperware container, totes, the bigger the better is always a Good motto as it means more return, the topsy turvy tomato hang growers like Ya See on tv is also Good Ya can grow more than tomatoes in them.

food tastes better when Ya grow it Yourself.
the Love and Soul with Your time all goes into the grow.

a few staples for any stock pile.
dry food.
rice, pasta, oatmeal, beans, dry side dishes such as cake, pancake, gravy, soup mixes.

Your preferred flour, fast acting yeast packages, baking powder(can be a egg substitute)baking soda, salt, pepper, boullion cubes and spices.

are all really Good must have staples as Ya can make alot of things from those few ingredients.
such as soup,dumplings,breads,pastas.
any condiments Ya like that Ya cannot do without.

can food of whatever Ya want, always go to the back of the row to pull out the later expiration dates.

not that they matter in alot of cases tptb put the dates just to get Peoples throwing out food that is still edible for long after, even years in some cases.

things like soup may get a layer on top that Ya can scoop off and it’s still Good to eat.

preserving food is another option to a stock pile.
preservation can be done to almost anything including meats and there is many different ways to preserve on a budget

there are also mre’s(meals ready to eat) and emergency food rations buckets/boxes of all sorts available to the public now a days

most are quite expensive but some can still be purchased on a budget but it’s more investment lol(least for me)

I Hope that gives a little information to Help start Peoples on their stock piles
