Freedom and the Week

We think we are free, but we are not.

We are enslaved to cycles we did not choose and do not question.

The seven-day week is not natural. It does not correspond to solar cycles, lunar phases, or any observable rhythm of creation.

By internalizing the week, we internalize the abuse. Work five days, rest two. Repeat. The weekend is not freedom; it is the main way they condition us to think like livestock. We live for Friday and dread Monday, but what I fail to understand is why? Has the week raped our consciousnesses to the point at which the schoolchildren who once dreaded school now work till they drop?

The truth is, we all die. Anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear knows that this not merely habit but design. The labour of the many sustains the leisure of the few. We dream of personal success, and while we chase that dream, our time, our focus, our very consciousness become commodities. In that cycle, we forget to ask: *Why are we living like this?
*
Don’t be too discouraged; instead, focus on reclaiming your temporal sovereignty by recognizing your self-worth, which is completely separate from your job or status.

Was he promoted to ceo because they liked his name?

It sounds like daimon.

His grandfather changed the family name. It means avid follower of Zeus.
