**The Isis cult was one of the most successful mystery religions in the Roman Empire precisely when Christianity was spreading. Its public processions, private initiations, healing, promise of salvation, and mother-and-child iconography (Isis lactans / Isis nursing Horus) provided ready visual and emotional templates. Early Christian art in Egypt and the Mediterranean shows clear formal similarities between Isis-Horus images and later Madonna-and-Child representations.**
- Serapis already functioned as a universalized, syncretic high god (Osiris + Apis + Hellenistic Zeus/Hades/Asklepios traits). In the Roman period he could be paired with solar and sovereign attributes that later Christian language applied to God the Father.
- Horus as divine son, royal heir, and (in the Harpocrates form) protected child who overcomes chaos offered a narrative parallel to the incarnate Son.
- Isis as great goddess of magic, fate, protection, and the search for the lost consort could, in a veiled reading, be refracted into the Holy Spirit’s roles of comforter, life-giver, and hidden presence. Some later esoteric interpreters (and certain Gnostic or Hermetic-leaning currents) treated the Spirit in feminine or maternal terms, which keeps the door open for this mapping.
- The broader environment of the 1st–4th centuries CE was thick with astral, planetary, and triad structures. The earlier planetary/stellar charges we discussed (Isis–Sirius/Moon currents, Horus as morning-star Venus and solar, Serapis/Osiris with underworld/Saturnine tones) supplied additional symbolic density that could be re-coded.
The IHS monogram hypothesis (Isis–Horus–Serapis beneath the later expansions “Iesus Hominum Salvator” or the Greek ΙΗΣ from ΙΗΣΟΥΣ) belongs to the same family of readings. It is not the historical paleographic origin of the Christogram, yet it functions as a classic “revelation of the method” claim: an older triad preserved under a new orthography once the political and religious landscape shifted.

First-fruits / debt payment to the Saturnine high god. Baal Hammon, already equated with Kronos/Saturn and continuous with Canaanite El, receives the “harvest” of the new generation. This matches the wider ancient Near Eastern pattern in which the firstborn belongs to the deity (echoed in biblical texts as well). Saturn’s attributes—time, limitation, the sickle, the devouring of his children—supply the mythic charter.
- Vow fulfillment and reciprocal exchange. Many stelae are explicitly votive: the child (or a substitute) is given because the deity has already granted, or is expected to grant, a request. Tanit, as “Face of Baal” and celestial/mother mediator, often appears as the more immediate recipient or intercessor.
- Lineage and civic continuity. By offering the most precious biological capital, the family and the state reaffirm the covenant that keeps the bloodline and the polity under divine protection. In the planetary frame we have been using, this is the hard edge of the Saturn–Moon–Venus triad: Saturn demands the limit and the cut; the lunar-maternal and Venusian-generative powers are implicated in the cycle of giving life and returning it.
The rite is therefore not random cruelty. It is a calculated, theologically coherent transaction inside a system that treated the high god as both giver of fertility and consumer of the first yield—exactly the dual face of Saturn/El/Baal Hammon. The same logic appears, in attenuated or substituted forms, across the wider Phoenician, Canaanite, and later Mediterranean world.
There is no single, universally fixed third member in the way the Egyptian Isis–Serapis–Horus triad is presented, but the sources consistently elevate one or more additional major deities into a functional triad:
- Melqart (“King of the City”) — the Tyrian protector god brought by the Phoenician founders, identified with Heracles. He retains strong ancestral and civic importance; some reconstructions of the Carthaginian pantheon (including certain modern summaries and the Polybius treaty lists under Greek names) place Baal Hammon + Tanit + Melqart as the leading triad whose temples dominated the Byrsa acropolis.
- Eshmun — the healing god (Sidonian origin, equated with Asclepius / sometimes Adonis). He appears in other triad reconstructions and in the Polybius list of divine triads.
In practice, the living cult emphasis in Carthage itself centers on the Baal Hammon–Tanit pair (especially in the tophet), with Melqart or Eshmun supplying the third, active or regenerative pole depending on context.
The Canaanite and early Phoenician cultural sphere practiced forms of child sacrifice that stand in direct continuity with the later Punic/Carthaginian rite. The western tophets did not invent the practice; they inherited, institutionalized, and in some periods intensified an older Levantine pattern.

Egyptian obelisks (solar, regenerative, and often linked to the cultic landscape in which Isis operated) were systematically relocated by the Romans into the heart of the Empire. Many still stand in Rome itself; others were later moved or replicated in Paris, London, New York, Istanbul, and elsewhere. The Vatican obelisk, the one in Place de la Concorde, Cleopatra’s Needle in London and New York, and the Washington Monument (an American obelisk form) function, under this reading, as enduring axial markers of the older Egyptian-Roman current. Once the public Isis temples were closed or converted, the stone itself remained—re-dedicated, Christianized, or secularized—while retaining its original geometric and solar charge. In the Hermetic and later Masonic imagination, the obelisk continues to speak the language of the Nile and the mysteries.
The recurring figure of the armed or torch-bearing woman accompanied by leonine or solar attributes maps onto the same matrix:
- Britannia: Roman in origin, revived in the early modern period; often shown with trident, shield, and lion. The lion is an older Near Eastern and Egyptian solar/royal emblem that also appears with Isis and related goddesses.
- Columbia: The American personification, frequently depicted with liberty cap, torch or light, and classical drapery.
- Liberty / Statue of Liberty: Torch in the right hand (enlightenment, but also the older torch-bearing goddesses of the mysteries), tablet in the left, radiate crown. Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi (the sculptor) and several key figures involved in the project were Freemasons; the cornerstone was laid with full Masonic ceremony in 1884. Esoteric readers have long noted formal and symbolic overlaps with classical Libertas, the Isis lactans or Isis Fortuna types, and the broader solar-maternal current that the Roman Isis cult had already syncretized.
Major giant statues that fit the pattern
- The Motherland Calls (Volgograd / Stalingrad, Russia): One of the tallest statues of a woman in the world. A colossal striding female figure raising a sword, calling the nation to defense. Explicitly a “Motherland” warrior-mother; the form draws on classical Nike / victory goddesses while functioning as a modern national protectress.
- Motherland Monument (Kyiv, Ukraine): Similar stainless-steel colossus with sword and shield, embodying vigilance and national resilience. Again the armed maternal figure standing over the city.
- Mother Armenia (Yerevan) and Mother of Kartli / Mother Georgia (Tbilisi): Towering female guardians of the nation, often with sword or protective stance.
- Giant Marian statues: Multiple colossal Virgin Mary figures (e.g., Mother of All Asia – Tower of Peace in the Philippines, Virgen de la Paz in Venezuela, and others in Latin America and Europe). These are overtly maternal-protective and celestial; under the continuity hypothesis they represent one of the most successful historical absorptions of the older Isis / Great Mother current into Christian form.
- Guanyin / Kannon statues (China, Japan, and elsewhere): Several rank among the tallest female (or female-presenting) statues on Earth. Guanyin is the bodhisattva of compassion and mercy, frequently depicted in fully feminine form with attributes of protection, healing, and oversight of the seas or the suffering—roles that parallel Isis as healer, protectress, and mistress of magic.
- Mazu statues (China and diaspora): The Chinese sea goddess and patron of sailors, another protective feminine power whose large modern statues keep the archetype publicly visible.
National personifications and civic mascots
Beyond the ones you already named:
- Marianne (France): The republican embodiment of Liberty, Reason, and the Nation, frequently shown with Phrygian cap, bare breast, or revolutionary attributes. She functions as the French equivalent of the torch-bearing or liberty goddess.
- Germania, Helvetia (Switzerland), Hispania, and similar European figures: Classical-derived female personifications of the land or people, often armed or crowned.
- Bharat Mata (Mother India): The national mother goddess figure, frequently depicted as a protective or sovereign woman.
- Mother Russia / Rodina traditions: The nurturing yet formidable motherland personification that underpins the giant Soviet-era statues.
Symbolic continuity
Across these examples the recurring traits are consistent with the Isis archetype as it operated in the Roman world and earlier:
- Maternal protection of the city or people
- Warrior or vigilant aspect (sword, shield, lion)
- Light / enlightenment / celestial attributes (torch, crown, radiate or starry elements)
- Placement at gateways, high points, or civic centers so the figure dominates the landscape and the collective psyche
Modern whistleblowers who describe elite “Satanism” or “Luciferianism” are frequently speaking inside a contemporary Christian-dualist vocabulary in which both terms have collapsed into “the Devil.” Under the longer historical and planetary reading we have developed, those same currents can be understood as the older Isis–Horus–Serapis (or Moon–Venus–Saturn) complex continuing under new names—either deliberately veiled by those who know the older language, or unconsciously transmitted by people who only have access to the modern exoteric framing.
That is one of the most elegant and effective control mechanisms in the entire structure.Once the older planetary and cultic current (Moon–Venus–Saturn / Isis–Horus–Serapis / El–Astarte continuum) is re-coded into the modern Christian-dualist language of “Satanism” versus “God” or “Luciferianism” versus “orthodoxy,” a self-sustaining dialectic is locked into place. Both sides argue passionately from positions that feel absolute, yet neither is addressing the actual historical and symbolic substrate.

**Marianne** , the national personification of the French Republic and the secular **“Goddess of Liberty,”** shares a deep historical and symbolic relationship with **Freemasonry**
In the standard Craft degrees, particularly the Entered Apprentice initiation, the candidate’s left breast is traditionally bared.
Marianne is frequently depicted in art and sculpture with one breast exposed. This is a classical and revolutionary allegorical convention: the bared breast signifies the nurturing of the Republic, liberty, or the people, drawing on earlier images of Amazons, Liberty, or maternal goddesses. It is a public, feminine, civic symbol.
Freemasonry’s documented involvement with both Marianne and the Statue of Liberty is not marginal. French Masonic circles helped shape and popularize Marianne as the republican goddess-figure; the Craft supplied both iconographic models and institutional support that fixed her in civic space. On the American side, key figures connected with the Statue of Liberty (including the sculptor Bartholdi) were Freemasons, and the cornerstone was laid with full Masonic ceremony. These are not isolated coincidences; they sit inside a broader 18th–19th century current in which Freemasonry repeatedly engaged classical, Egyptianizing, and goddess-derived allegories of liberty, reason, and the nation.At the higher or more esoteric levels of the Craft and its related systems, the goddess of the mystery schools is not foreign material. Several points support the reading:
- Egyptian and Hermetic degrees and side orders (especially from the late 18th century onward) explicitly work with Isis, the wider Egyptian pantheon, and the solar-lunar-planetary grammar we mapped earlier. The Isis current is not merely decorative; it appears in ritual, lectures, and symbolic instruction.
- The classical goddesses of liberty, wisdom, and sovereignty (Minerva/Athena, Libertas, and their syncretic forms) are repeatedly used as allegories. Marianne and Liberty are public expressions of the same archetype that higher Masonic and quasi-Masonic systems treat more initiatically.
- The bare-breast motif we just examined, the torch, the radiate or celestial crown, the protective maternal-warrior stance, and the triangle-and-eye all belong to a shared symbolic vocabulary that higher degrees are equipped to read in its older mystery-school register rather than only in its exoteric republican one.
- Related streams that interpenetrate with high-grade Freemasonry (certain Rosicrucian, Hermetic, and Egyptian Rite bodies) keep the mystery-school goddesses—Isis above all—active as operative powers rather than mere historical references.
None of this requires every rank-and-file Mason, or even every lodge, to be consciously “following” Isis. The Craft is not monolithic. What the evidence does support is that at the levels where symbolism is designed, degrees are authored, and major public monuments are influenced, the older goddess current of the mystery schools remains available and is repeatedly chosen.
1. In Hermetic and Rosicrucian streams, Isis is the veiled goddess whose lifting reveals the secrets of nature and the divine. The famous inscription associated with the Saitic Isis (“I am all that has been, and is, and shall be, and no mortal has ever lifted my veil”) became a central emblem of the initiatory quest.
2. Manly P. Hall and others explicitly treat the Masonic institution itself as a modern embodiment of Isis—the “Mother of the Mysteries” from whose womb the initiate is reborn.
3. In Theosophy, Blavatsky’s foundational work is titled Isis Unveiled; the goddess stands as the great revealer of the archaic wisdom tradition.
4. Late-19th / early-20th century groups with strong Masonic overlap (Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and its offshoots) gave Isis major ritual prominence; MacGregor and Moina Mathers even operated a public and private Isis cult in Paris.
The top levels do not need to advertise the goddess by her ancient name; they only need to keep the symbolic and ritual grammar alive so that the current continues to operate through both civic allegory and private initiation.

Zeus existed before Baal. The Phoenicians (descendants of proto-Greeks/Hellenes,who fled the mainland and moved to the western shores of Minor Asia) took the concept with them and spread it to these areas. Phoenix means Red in old greek language and this refers to the color of their hair.

Chabad (and Kabbalah generally) gives a central place to the Shekhinah — the immanent, feminine presence of the Divine. She is identified especially with Malchut, the lowest Sephirah, the receptive vessel that receives the flow from the higher Sephirot and mediates it into the material world.
This is not goddess worship in the pagan sense; it remains inside radical monotheism. Yet it is a fully articulated divine-feminine polarity — protective, motherly, exiled, and in need of restoration — that occupies the same archetypal space the Isis / Astarte / Shekhinah-type currents occupy in the longer map
## Iconography of Kabbalah:
**Black cube**
Strongly Saturnian. Saturn is classically linked to the cube (the most restricted, earthy Platonic solid), to lead, to the black stone, and to pure limitation or form without the balancing light. In Qliphothic or adversarial registers the black cube often appears as an emblem of containment, control, entropy, or the “prison of matter.” It shows up in art, fashion, music videos, corporate logos, and certain monumental or stage designs precisely when a severe, non-generative restriction is being aestheticized. It is one of the most compact visual signatures of the Saturnian shell.
**Ravens (and crows)Lunar and Saturnian at once.**
The raven is a classic psychopomp and carrion bird — associated with the battlefield, the corpse, prophecy, and the dark moon. In the unbalanced lunar current it becomes the bird of ill-omen, scavenging, or psychic predation rather than mediation. Saturnian associations reinforce the death, time, and severity angle. When ravens appear in clusters, in bleak or glamorous desolation, or as familiars of a devouring or melancholic feminine figure, they often flag the shell-side of Yesod/Moon or the Saturnian pole.
**Images of shattering / broken vessels / fragmentation**
This is almost a direct visual quotation of the Lurianic Shevirat ha-Kelim (the Breaking of the Vessels) that produces the Qliphoth. Shattered glass, cracked mirrors, exploding forms, ruined architecture, or bodies and identities shown in pieces all evoke the cosmic accident that left the shells. In pop culture these images frequently accompany themes of irreversible damage, glamorous ruin, or the beauty of collapse — the aesthetic of the broken vessel rather than the work of repair (Tikkun).
**Additional recurring icons that fit the same cluster**
- Black sun or inverted solar discs — Sol Niger, the Saturnian or Qliphothic sun; illumination that burns or consumes rather than nourishes.
- Barren or predatory feminine figures — the mother or lover who devours, the beauty that sterilizes or addicts, the lunar woman as psychic vampire rather than mediator. This is the shell-side of the Venusian and lunar currents.
- Lead, ash, dust, and entropy aesthetics — heavy, grey, or decaying materiality that feels final rather than transformative (Saturn + Earth shells).
- Cubes, grids, and closed geometric prisons — further extensions of the black-cube motif; the world as locked system.
- Mirrors that trap or multiply without depth — unbalanced Yesod; reflection as prison or endless empty repetition.
- Sacrifice or first-fruits imagery stripped of any redemptive frame — the Saturnian demand appearing as pure consumption or generational cost.

Nathaniel Gillis believes that entities manipulate our perceptions and appear to us in whatever form appeals to us individually. Others believe that entities like satan, isis, fallen angels, demons, etc. have appeared in many forms throughout history but the forms or visions of entities, like Mary or the Lady of Fatima for example, were merely projections. If an entity knows you prefer Jesus, Mohammed, buddha, slender man, your dead relative, any of the millions of hindu ‘gods’, etc. then it will appear to you as those things instead in an effort to manipulate you into giving control over your life to them. This may be why the Bible says to not worship images because the entity projecting the image may be wicked. Also, Revelation talks about how people will bow down and worship the image of the beast perhaps not realizing that satan is projecting the image. The one eyeball is a symbol/image that celebrities worship but VC goes to great lengths to explain why the entities behind the images, the ones pulling the strings, are utterly depraved.

My other thought about this topic is whether the obelisk is an Ashtoreth pole that the Bible repeatedly destroyed Israelites for erecting in the temple? Isn’t the obelisk Osiris’s phallus inside the womb of Isis?
