I was just watching a video on Instagram from one of my favorite ministers, Mo Isom Aiken, about Halloween. She stated that human sacrifices in America are highest on Halloween. Specifically she mentioned children, babies, and homeless people will be sacrificed at an all-time high on this day.
I did not get to watch the whole thing, but she recently did a series of Instagram stories on blood. She mentioned blood is the highest spiritual currency (I never heard it stated that way but it makes sense considering the blood of Jesus and the theme of blood in the Bible). She was leading into how this correlates with Halloween and human sacrifice — again, makes sense as to why on this evil day there would be an abundance of human sacrifice if blood is the thing they are after.
I admit, I don’t know too much about the background of Halloween and the evil it entails. Growing up, my dad unapologetically refused to let us participate in anything Halloween related. I didn’t care too much about “missing out” and am thankful he was so strict about it. As an adult, I don’t want to even passively participate in anything to do with Halloween. I wasn’t surprised by Mo’s information, but truthfully, I was a bit shocked. Anyone more informed on this topic of Halloween and human sacrifice (and/or the other evils of this day) that could share more?
This morning I did feel like the Holy Spirit was instructing me to pray over our home and myself and my husband in a more specific way. John Eldredge/Wild at Heart has an extended version of their Daily Prayer that I felt led to pray. I haven’t done the extended version in a while and going through it I realized why it was necessary as there is very specific wording against witchcraft, witches, hexes, vexes, etc., etc. It was very appropriate for this day.
