Books - Sci-Fi

Been really into scifi lately. Everything I saw as a kid in movies and books is basically now our reality. Pretty crazy

Childhood’s End by Arthur C. Clark

This book is amazing. Written in 1953 about an alien invasion. Some of the ideas and themes fit right in today. Wild he was able to envision so many similarities to today. Could not put this down. Short book, quick read.

Out of the Silent Planet - C.S. Lewis

1st book in his 3 book series about a scifi adventure. Interplanetary travel with some philosophical themes. Was very good.

Perelandra

2nd book in the series. I thought the first was better, but overall still a good read. Adam and Eve type theme on another planet.

That Hideous Strength

3rd book in the series. I have not read it yet.

Children of Time - Adrian Tchaikovsky

Just started reading this and it is pretty solid. Earth is gone, looking to take over another terraformed planet. Had all the themes of today biotech, nanotech, AI, viruses and more. Can’t seem to find pdf only on Amazon.

Years ago for Christmas, I got Lewis’ space trilogy. So good. Plus the twist in Childhood’s End…wowza.
